What I learned- week 5

I cropped this photo and didn't think that the colors needed to change.
Maybe I could have changed the contrast/brightness.

Week 5-What I learned

We learned about ISO and took pictures with each ISO setting. ISO controls the amount of light sensitivity.   THings went from really dark to really bright. Even without the flash, the pictures got really bright.

What I learned- week 4

The standard resolution for print is at least 300. For the web, the print resolution should be at least 72. The important thing is that you can always down scale an image without loss in quality. You cannot take a small image and make it big with out it becoming pixelated.

I like this picture because it shows a grid with waves in the snow.

This picture is cool because it has things in and out of focus.

I like this picture because it sets a good scene using the rule of thirds.

Week 3-what I learned thursday

Today we started going over the modes on a dslr camera, aperture priority, auto, manual, and shutter priority. Aperture priority means that you control the aperture and the camera controls the shutter speed. The auto mode allows you to pick up a camera and shoot without any worries. The manual mode allows you to have full reign over what happens in the camera. The shutter priority is good for controlling the shutter speed and not the aperture.

Week 3-what I learned wednesday

juxtaposition:an act or instance of placing close together or side by side, especially for comparison or contrast

Geometric Shapes (square, circle, triangle) versus Organic Shapes (free flowing)

I'm interested in shooting in nature but also with people. I think that it would be fun to take pictures of people playing music or sports.

Week 2-what I learned

This week I learned about all the angles that I can shoot from. Also I learned about articulation.

Outside of Digital Photography, I learned that history has many definitions.
